Body Transfer to the Morgue

After confirmation of death the body is transported from an apartment, private home, sanatorium, hospital, or hotel — self-movement is prohibited by sanitary rules.

A medical death certificate is required. If the doctor has not yet arrived, the agent explains how to expedite the call — especially in remote settlements like Vardane.

Transport is a mandatory step before funeral or cremation preparation. Destination is most often the pathology department at Lazarevskaya CRB.

Typical resort case: deceased was a visitor from another city, family wants burial in the homeland. The agent organizes preparation at Lazarevskaya CRB and shipment by road or air.

Without confirmed acceptance in the destination city, transport will not begin.

With the medical certificate the vehicle comes to the location. Loading and transfer follow regulations with respect for the deceased.

The body is handed over to the morgue or pathology department. Next — documents for burial at Lazarevskoye Cemetery or cremation.

Do not touch the body before the doctor and funeral transport arrive. From a hospital, transport can be arranged without your presence — by power of attorney to the agent.
